Ernie Ashworth dies

Grand Ole Opry member Ernie Ashworth died on March 2, 2009. He is best know for his hit recording "Talk Back Trembling Lips" in 1963.

Ashworth was born in 1928 in Alabama and started his career in the 1950s as "Billy Worth". In the sixties, he managed to get a recording contract with Decca's subsidiary Hickory and had his biggest hits there, like "The DJ Cried", "Everybody But Me", "I Love To Dance With Annie" and "Talk Back Trembling Lips". He joined the Opry in 1964 and remained a regular until his death. He was inducted into the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 1992.
