Jiggs Lemley died

Steel guitar player, born 1927, died on April 30, 2009, at his home in North Fort Myers, Florida. Lemley worked with Hawkshaw Hawkins on the famed WWVA Jamboree out of Wheeling, West Virginia, beginning in 1948. He later also was a member of the WSM Grand Ole Opry and played with many great stars of country music such as Hank Snow, Merle Travis, Cowboy Copas, Moon Mullican, George Mogan, T. Texas Tyler and Elton Britt.
