Steel guitar player Tom Brumley died on Febuary 4, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. The son of gospel songwriter Albert E. Brumley, he was a member of Buck Owens' Buckaroos between 1963 and 1969 and later joined Ricky Nelson's band. He is regarded as one of the best pedal steel guitarrist in country music and was inducted into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 1992. More recently, Brumley held live shows in his hometown Branson, Missouri.
