This is one of the records mentioned in my previous post about Marshall Ellis. Clearmont was one of the labels he operated in Memphis. This disc was released in 1962 and was the first of only two singles that appeared on this label. Who Johnny Barnes was? I don't know. Apparently, he went into partnership with Marshall Ellis to form the Clearmont label and to release this disc. Nothing else is known on Barnes, unfortunately. But the band comes along nicely and breaks out into a enjoyable, bluesy solo.
