Camaro Records Discography

Camaro
3373 Park Avenue
3109 Park Avenue

Camaro was set up by Style Wooten in 1967 after he moved to 3373 Park Avenue. The label's name is a testimony to Wooten's passion for cars. Camaro had a lot of different musical genres released through the years 1967-1976. Soul, funk, country, white gospel, and a lot of other styles can be found on this label.

Thanks to unknown, I have added all the releases you gave me! Thank you!

This appears to be same Camaro Records with whom my uncle may have recorded in late 1960s/early 1970s - his name was Terry Lee Fischer (with a "c"). I have a Camaro Records business card with his name and my father's name (his brother and manager at the time). Any other information you have regarding Terry Lee Fischer's music and recording sessions there would be great. I remember seeing two 45s he cut when I was little, but not sure if they are retrievable in what's left of my late father's belongings. Any info would be great! Thanks, Jeff Beeler

Hello. I have listed one record by your uncle (as Fisher, by mistake) on Camaro 45-3427. This appears to have been released in late 1970 or early 1971.

Would like to see the business card and anything else related. I'm gonna do some research to see if I can dig up the record!

I do have one question. Did any of the record releases on this label that were rock music have an orange colored label? Just curious.

Ryan said...

Who were the Delusions of Grandeur? I cannot see an image of that record on Discogs, nor the one just before it.

Log Cabin Stories said...

Ryan, I do not anything about the Delusions of Grandeur, unfortunately. As Camaro was a custom label, there were many unknown acts on it, which requested to do a record on their own. As I said, Camaro was a custom label and the bands paid for releasing their records, so the color of the label was likely up to their choice. I have a Camaro 45 by the rock band "Break of Day" in my collection and its label was purple.

Ryan said...

Does the user Unknown know anything? He mentioned them as one of the artists. Mellow, you don't have to reply. I want to hear from him.

Mellow,

The Al Raby record's songs are "Nick The Greek's" and "So Proud". Discogs is the source. I suggest you visit this page and add anything that is missing on your Camaro discography:

https://www.discogs.com/label/185093-Camaro

Some of the records listed by you aren't listed on Discogs currently.

Ryan said...

I found out that the Delusions of Grandeur record has the songs "They Say Run I’m Free/Each Time I See You". I was told by the Discogs seller "pikll" that the record has a gold label. Turns out to not be the one I'm trying to find. Are there any Camaro records older than the Xprressions records? I know not everything is listed here. I saved a Camaro 45rpm search on eBay and will be alerted if a new listing comes up.

Log Cabin Stories said...

Ryan, I have no info on any releases prior to the Xpressions. I have just created thid discography by listing what I found and adding what turns up.
